One-On-One With Nijel Pack

June 6, 2019

Today we were able to catch up with Nijel Pack, and talk to him about his recruitment and more. The rising senior is an explosive, sharpshooting 6’0” point guard from Lawrence Central High School (IN), He told us that he models his game after Ja Morant.

Yesterday, Pack participated in the Indiana Junior vs Senior All-Star game and had an impressive showing. He led his Junior team with 17 points, plus grabbed 8 rebounds, dished out 4 assists and had 3 steals.

The point guard has drawn a great deal of interest this spring playing with the Indy Heat in the EYBL. In the EYBL this spring Pack has averaged an impressive 18 points per game.

In the last few months he has picked up scholarship offers from Kansas State, Butler, Loyola (IL), Belmont, Cleveland State, and Northern Kentucky from his strong play. As well he has offers from Bradley, Ball State, Southern Illinois among others.

Still, Pack says his recruitment is open and has no leaders. Though he does have a few visits planned for the next week; Belmont, Northwestern, and Kansas State. When asked what he looks for in potential colleges, Pack responded, “A good basketball program and a strong academic base”.

Expect our #14 ranked prospect in the 2020 class to continue his impressive stretch of play and offers as he enters the summer playing for the Indy Heat AAU program.
